Sunday, October 16, 5:30 pm. Come and meet Marilyn Chan, missionary in Cambodia. She was born in Cambodia and as a young adult she and her family escaped the Khmer Rouge. After living and working in the jungle for 4 years, she and her husband escaped to Thailand and eventually to the U.S. where she completed her education and returned to Cambodia as a missionary. She mainly works empowering women. Her story is fascinating. Bring finger foods for snacks and give her your support by your presence.
Friday, October 14, 7:30 pm, Point Richmond Acoustic starts their season with Bill and Kate Isles. Bill and Kate are singer/songwriters from Duluth, Michigan. This is a special offering Sunday where the donations go to provide higher education for national and international students who would not be able to afford these programs. Besides providing money for ministry studies, aide is given to social workers, nurses, community organizers, aspiring attorneys and more.
